A good roulette strategy is based on control with the intent of minimizing loses and maximizing wins. Many roulette strategies are based on sequential or conditional probability mathematics. These systems are usually based on the understanding that only one of two outcomes can occur, back or red and odd or even, and that each outcome has a 50% probability. This understanding is further used to assume that 100 spins on the roulette wheel should provide 50 black numbers and 50 red numbers, or 50 odd numbers and 50 even numbers. A player using one of these types of strategies makes their decisions based on a given number of past spins, for example if 13 of the last 20 spins have landed on a red number there is a better probability that the next spin will land on a black number, assuming that a there is an equal distribution between any given number of spins.
Triple Spin System
The Triple Spin system is a very basic roulette strategy system that only takes into consideration the last 3 spins of the roulette wheel. The Triple Spin system does make the assumption that there is an equal distribution on four independent spins of the roulette wheel. Therefor, four spins of the wheel should result in two red numbers and two black numbers, or two odd numbers and two even numbers. Four example, if the last 3 spins have resulted in two or three black numbers a player using this system would bet on red, or if the last 3 spins have resulted in two or three even numbers a player using this system would bet on odd.
Unfortunately for roulette players these types of systems are not mathematically correct. It is correct to say that there is a 50% probability of a black number, and a 50% probability of a red number from one spin of a roulette wheel, however there is absolutely no correlation between multiple spins. It is important to understand that every spin of the roulette wheel is an independent event, and that every spin has the same 50% probability regardless of previous results.
Despite the fact that many roulette systems are discredited by mathematicians many players do have great success. Billions of computer simulations of roulette spins have also shown that players using a system do win more.
